The following poem "Woodland Voice" came to me on the drive to and from Gold Creek for my gig at Camp Mak-A-Dream.

"Woodland Voice."
Within my being resides a deep love for wild, free things,
Of the life and beauty of the dark wood
It was you, which instilled in me worldly goods
Alone gift not the happiness which sings.

To your woodland voice, the river and mountains
Rejoice on this gleaming day of muted haze
With dappled sun a patterned maze unfolds

As black-eyed Susan's glow and fade
Now hold enchantment in their thrall
Tall, lodge pole pine trees stretch their limbs
They sigh; content to offer shelter to the birds.
