When Autumn ...tiptoed in today A hundred golden leaves rained down Content to hear My spirit's healing song. I walked in silent reverence... Through the rustle of aspen leaves As woodland's voice echoes humble with accord Red dragonflies dart by humming, "Summer is done." Eveline Maria Smith © September 2005 Now the Overland Stage ride through scenic Montana in route to the old mining ghost town of Pioneer is also located in Gold Creek near the camp entrance. My mother, Anna loves Westerns so for mom's visit Big W booked this wild ride and fun adventure. It was a hoot! October 15 – 24, 2005: Wayne and I experienced a soggy east coast. When in Massachusetts visiting family Big W and I took credit for stopping the rain and bringing the sunshine! Day 1 we headed to Boston and visited the penguins at the aquarium… a definite must after seeing "The March of the Penguins." Day 2 it was a beautiful autumn day and we headed to the apple orchards to indulge in some hot cider, apple dumplings and locate the perfect pumpkin… Oh, we picked apples too. It was fun and it felt good to gather together as a family. The two weeks prior of steady rain did quite a number on the roads. Day 3 we headed for Connecticut after breakfast and visiting a ranch in a beautiful secluded setting that provided a loving home for some gorgeous wild horses from the west… Montana. I grew up in Southbury and my mom moved back there in 2003 after her husband, Al passed away. Prior to this visit when I would travel back east for a visit I always made a point to drive through the area… amazed at the difference from the quaint small New England town that I experienced when first arriving there from Germany 45 years ago. This visit was unique in that it presented me with a feeling of nostalgia, a memory of being younger… returning to something I had lived before. November 2005: Big W, Rosie and I celebrated Thanksgiving in gratitude and love with our daughter,Heidi's family. There was about two inches of snow and slush on 4 th of July pass when we headed over on Wednesday the 24 th. Heidi prepared a wonderful holiday dinner! Early evening Heidi, Caitlyn and Chuck joined us back at the hotel for a soak and swim in the "Hot Tub!" | AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
